Although Bankers Home Loans started as a business in 1984, it has used, and still uses, the name Exchange Realty (our real estate division) for all real estate sales. At the time of our companies beginning stages, interest rates were a lot higher, so it was very difficult to actually put a real estate deal together. Trading, or “exchanging” (as it was then called) was a norm. Max Gradowitz, the founder of BHL and Exchange Realty in the 80’s, was the president of the Society of Real Estate Exchangers. This is why the name “Exchange Realty” was chosen. Not many things have changed since then, except for economic conditions. We still do several types of home loans (Conventional, FHA, or even private money), as well as real estate sales and rental property management. It has always been our goal to keep up with the market by being well informed to all its changes and conforming to the ever changing market conditions in order to provide services for all your real estate needs. The Gradowitz family has been proudly serving central California since the 1930s (as shown in the picture below of Gradowitz & Co Wholesale Produce) and our legacy of exceptional service still holds true to today.
